United States have always been the preferred destination for almost every student who wish to study abroad or even thinks of studying abroad. Thousands of students migrate to USA every year in search of better courses (both at under graduate and post graduate levels) and better future. Though, in the recent times there is some restrictions over those who migrate to US for searching a job or setting up an enterprise. This is due to the recent meltdowns and the surge in job market all over the United States.

This economic meltdown has given ample time to jobless or dropouts for doing some serious study until this surge is there. Thus, the number of students migrating to US for higher studies have increased significantly over the past three years. A healthy strength of students migrate to US for better courses and finest quality education. This has given rise to a number of fake universities or the universities showing wrong fact file, so as to fetch a larger number of foreign students. This not only ruins the future of the student, but also brings him/her a huge monetary loss.

The obvious answer is “Choose Psychology because you love it.” Though this statement is very apt, but it often confuses students. How do you expect a student to love or like psychology as a subject when they were never exposed to a subject similar to Psychology during their schooling. Thus, there is a need to explain the nature of course and future prospects of Psychology.

According to Wikipedia “Psychology is the science of behavior and mental processes.” A person who studies psychology is called a Psychologist. A Psychologist studies the behavior of individuals and groups based on basic psychology and research specific cases, if traditional methods fail. This establishes the fact that psychological service is more of a social work and is done for understanding the mental processes of individuals and social groups. Psychologists often take help from previous experiences and if need be, they do some individual research to help the one who is suffering. Thus, Psychologists are also known as social scientists and behavioral scientists.

During the practice, a Psychologist deals or explores the following issues related to mental or behavioral disorder. They take a note of attention, cognition, personality, motivation, emotions, etc. There are numerous other complex factors a Psychologist explores. He even studies the neurological aspects of the problem.

Psychology is very popular these days and there is a healthy competition among students to fill some selected number of seats in premier Psychology institutions. The student who is done with his/her schooling can easily opt for psychology in his/her bachelors, irrespective of the subjects in higher secondary, i.e. even a student from Arts or Commerce background can opt for Psychology as a subject. You may find the list of premier Psychology colleges here - Click Me.

Also, those students who are well off and can afford to finance their education in foreign countries can face numerous big universities and colleges in UK or USA which provide courses in Psychology. Individuals who are working or are not in a condition to fund their higher education in foreign countries, can apply to several on line Psychology schools and thus live their dream.

From the above discussion, it is sure that Psychology is no less than any other noble profession like engineering or medical jobs. An ideal Psychologist is expected to be very responsible, well learned, aware and passionate about his profession . Their is a lot of research involved while treating some typical cases. If you think that you can match that passion and willingness to serve the society for rest of your life, then definitely Psychology is the right career choice for you.

Leave a comment if you have any other question.

Indian education scenario is at boom and there are a large number of disciples to choose from. Though engineering and medical courses are still the favorite of majority of students qualifying their XIIth standard. In the past few years students have shown deep interest in subjects other than the traditionally preferred ones. Psychology is one of them and is chosen by a handful of students looking for specialization in the field of psychology.

Though it is not a very popular choice among students, but over the years the psychology courses in India have become more advanced and sophisticated. So, it has become necessary to short list colleges according to the quality and value of psychological courses offered by them. The students looking for specialization are advised to seek admission in institutions which follow advanced syllabus, modern infrastructure and value of their degree is higher.

I have come up with some of the finest psychology colleges in India. The list is entirely based on the preferred choice of students, the quality of their course content and value of the degree granted by them.

LSR is under Delhi University and thus the students from Delhi avail higher benefits and have more reserved seats. Admissions are done every year in the month of May or June.
